Describe a hardware project in plain English and MakerSpace generates a full design package: a parts list (bill of materials), sourcing links, a wiring diagram, step-by-step build instructions, and a 3D mechanical render. It runs in your browser, so there’s nothing to install.

No. MakerSpace is built for everyone from first-time makers to professional engineers. Start with a one-line idea and MakerSpace will ask follow-up questions to fill in the details.

Be specific about the goal, the key components, your constraints, and your budget. MakerSpace will ask clarifying questions along the way. Answer those in the same project rather than starting over, since each new prompt begins a fresh design. The more context you give, the closer the output.

Each generation and each design edit uses credits. Asking the AI follow-up questions or regenerating a section also counts. Writing a clear, detailed prompt up front is the best way to make each credit go further.

In almost every case this message is misleading: it appears when our design service is temporarily at capacity, not because your idea breaks the rules. Wait a few minutes and try again.

Genuinely prohibited projects, such as weapons or explosives, are blocked on purpose and will not generate.

These all point to a temporary capacity limit on our side, not your account or your credits. They usually clear on their own within a short while, so please retry a little later. If a credit was spent on a failed generation, contact us and we’ll restore it.

The 3D view is currently a mechanical render that helps you visualize the build and component layout. It is not yet an exportable CAD or STL file. Downloadable, print-ready 3D files are planned on the roadmap.

Today, your project export includes the bill of materials, wiring, and build guide.

Some links land on a general search rather than the exact part, and they currently default to amazon.com. We’re improving sourcing accuracy and regional support. In the meantime, search the part name from your bill of materials on your local store.

MakerSpace is early, and the AI can get details wrong: a floating component, an off price, or a part in the wrong place. Use an edit prompt to correct it, and use the feedback button to flag bad output so we can improve. Always sanity-check a design before buying parts or building.

Go to Settings → Manage subscription to open our payment portal, where you can cancel or stop renewal.

If MakerSpace didn’t work out for you, email us your account email and your payment receipt number and we’ll review it.

Go to My Projects, hover over a project, and click the trash icon. Confirm to permanently delete the project and its images. This cannot be undone. Deleting a private project does not remove a version already published to the community.

Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. Confirm by entering your email address and, for email/password accounts, your password. This permanently deletes your account, profile, projects, images, stars, and chat history. Active subscriptions are cancelled, with no refunds or prorated credits. Not yet. Designs are created from text prompts today. Reference-image and file uploads are one of our most-requested features and are on the product roadmap. For now, describe your reference in as much detail as you can.

Yes. Every project is private by default and only you can see it, so you can create, save, and edit without ever publishing. Publishing is a separate, optional step (the green Publish button) that generates a public share link, and you can revert to private anytime by clicking Unpublish. Note that publishing is currently the only way to share a project, so anyone with the link can view it, and it appears under a generated username rather than your real name or email.

Not at the moment. Project names are generated automatically from your design, and there’s currently no way to rename a project manually. There’s also no separate chat manager. Each project has its own chat built into its workspace, but chats aren’t listed, renamed, or kept as standalone conversations you can manage.

MakerSpace runs in any mobile browser today. A dedicated app, a public API, and manufacturing are directions we’re exploring but they aren’t available yet.

Favorites, project search and filtering, and broader language support are all frequently requested and on the roadmap. Keep the suggestions coming via the feedback button; it’s how we prioritize.
